Club Assistant – Edinburgh
SLCo is extending its services for young people and families across our localities area. Weekly activities are a range of clubs promoting access to fun, friendship, social opportunities and improved wellbeing, designed to support young people aged 6 – 21 who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to speech, language and communication barriers. Clubs and activities run several nights a week and at weekends.

Club Leader – Dundee
You will be a confident, self starter who will help manage our family, children and young people activity programmes, supervising staff, training and health and safety. This position will suit someone with demonstrable experience in youth/family work and the applicant must have experience in a similar role. The post requirements are attention to detail, great organisation skills, IT and social media experience. We are looking for someone who can work under pressure in a flexible way to suit the needs of the programmes we run.

Story Club Assistant – Dundee
Plan and deliver a weekly 2/3 hour supervised STORY CLUB for SLCN/ASN children, providing engaging story-focused language and literacy building opportunities designed around Mightywriter and/or Big Book.
Create a fun environment which encourages children’s social communication, oracy and literacy skills.
Work with the SLCO team to ensure that a continued high standard of provision is in place that meets the needs and aspirations of the programme.
Support other cubs that run as part of local programmes – to be discussed.

Get a Buddy VOLUNTEER – Scotland Wide
Help support a young person who is socially isolated because they struggle with their speech, language and communication.
As a GAB volunteer you will become a buddy, helping children and young adults get out and about on their own, develop independence, do the sort of things most of us take for granted – a trip into town, the cinema, out for something to eat, just get involved in regular activities that young people might like to do.
